Med akustiska folkliga sånger och klassiska rocklåtar tar TisDass dig från Azawad-öknen till Niameys hektiska gator. TisDass är ute på turné och passerar Göteborg. Ett fantastiskt tuaregband som under många år rest runt och spelat på festivaler och klubbar över hela världen.

Här är den senaste heta rockgruppen i staten Niger. TisDass betyder “pelare” på språket Tamashek och gruppen har som vision att bevara och berätta om sin kultur och sin historia av folkslaget Tuareg.
Gruppen leds av sångaren och låtskrivaren Kildjate Aldabe Moussa, som kommer från staden Tchintabaraden i området Azawad i Niger.

Gruppen släppte sitt första album “Yamedan” i december 2015 på det amerikanska bolaget Sahel Sounds. Andra skivan ”Amanar” släpptes år 2019. Gruppens tredje skiva Houmaissa släpptes år 2023.

Tisdass is a group lead by the singer-guitarist Moussa Kildjate Albadé. Based in Niamey and originally from Tchintabaraden, the emblematic town of the Tamasheq kel of Niger.
TisDass means ”Pillars” in the Tamasheq language and refers to the pillars housing the traditional Berber tents. This name is the sign of a strong attachment to a culture that the group intends to defend and make known through the power of music.

Houmaïssa Tour:
Since their release in September 2023, a new energy has taken hold of the band’s live performances. Although the group still performs acoustically in intimate venues and theatres, their rock set for venues and festivals has won over a varied and enthusiastic audience. From the Tuareg scene, which is full of artists, TisDass marks its difference with a set that dances in the manner of accelerated reggae, always in the spirit of assouf music (nostalgia), the other name of this music.

The album Houmaïssa:
Houmaïssa being the name of a Tuareg symbol worn exclusively by women, with this new album, TisDass wishes to pay tribute to women, pillar of the family in Tuareg society. Although the tempo has quickened, the presence of acoustic tracks remains one of the hallmarks of Sahelian music (Tara ”Love”, Itagu Aguen ”Many things happen”). The other tracks take the 180 degree rock turn desired by the group. The themes of the songs remain faithful to the claims and aspirations of the Tuaregs to live in peace (Taflist (confidence), Derhan (hope),Ikewagne (roots).
